Abstract
An experimental technique is proposed in which a normal Burnett PVT apparatus is used to make direct measurements of the interaction second virial coefficient, Bij. Required information includes observable temperatures and pressures and pure component compressibility factors (or densities). The pure component second virial coefficients and the mixture composition are not required. Interaction virial coefficients determined by this method are shown to be more accurate than by previous techniques and are only slightly less accurate than pure component second virial coefficients measured in the same Burnett apparatus. Keywords
