Abstract
Magnetic moment data are presented for high-purity Pd at 4.2°K. The magnetic moment is a linear function of up to 150 kG. On the basis of Wohlfarth's recent analysis of the high-field enhanced Pauli paramagnetism of Pd, the experiments determine limits of exchange enhancement for Pd and increase the minimum field for field-induced ferromagnetism in Pd.
