Straight Wall Velocity Versus Field in Magnetic Bubble Domain Materials

Abstract
An experimental method is presented which allows a nondestructive measurement of the straight domain wall velocity versus wall field for magnetic bubble domain materials. The method is described in some detail along with the necessary theory and analysis of the measurements. The results are in good agreement with bubble domain velocities measured by other techniques. A velocity saturation is seen in some samples if a small in‐plane field is not applied to prevent the formation of complex walls. The method should be useful for monitoring bubble domain material.
