Inelastic Electron Scattering at High Energies

Abstract
Field-theoretic model calculations for inelastic electron scattering show that (1) scaling laws must be weakly violated; (2) there is no evidence for σTσS=0 or ; and (3) the angular spread in production amplitudes must increase as |Q2| increases and is roughly proportional to |Q2| for large |Q2|, where Q is the four-momentum of the virtual photon. Some experimental tests are suggested.
