Abstract
We compute the expected yields of protons and in annihilation, using the Konishi-Ukawa-Veneziano jet calculus and the recombination model. Our results have many features in common with the data, including their approximate size. We derive a differential equation for baryon production, and show that the terms we have calculated are one of three physically different contributions.
