IgG Subclass Levels in Malaria‐Infected Nigerians

Abstract
IgG class and subclass levels were measured in the sera of malaria-infected patients who had high serum antibody titers (.gtoreq. 1 in 520) as well as in uninfected controls with low serum malaria antibody titers (.ltoreq. 1 in 320). The malaria-infected patients had higher IgG and IgGI sublcass levels than the uninfected controls (P < 0.005). There was a slight diminution in the mean IgG3 concentration in the malaria-infected patients.
