Abstract
The pieces of bone and teeth submitted to me by Dr. Parkinson were collected by Mr. Donald Stewart. They include mammalian remains as well as some fragments of reptiles. Although the mammalian remains and teeth were found in two patches separated by a distance of about 100 yards, they have every appearance of being derived from a single individual. They represent a new genus of Toxodont, and are welcome confirmatory evidence of the wide range of this family outside the Pampas region of South America.
