Metabolism in scurvy. II

Abstract
Experiments on 3 young growing guinea-pigs gave no indication of a disturbed absorption or retention of N during the early stages of the development of scurvy. The N balance became negative only when the intake of food was diminished as a consequence of the disease. Although the results obtained were not concordant, it is unlikely that the C/N ratio of the urine of young guinea-pigs is disturbed by the onset of scurvy.
