Abstract
Kyasanur Forest Disease, caused by a tick-borne virus of the RSS virus complex, was first recognized in 1957 in Shimoga District of Mysore State, India. The clinical features and diagnosis are described, and an account given of the epidemiology of the 1957 and 1958 epidemics.Keywords
