Abstract
For pt. I see ibid., vol.6, 1044 (1973). Calculations of the plasma broadened Hbeta profile including ion dynamics are presented. The effects on the line profile of the random phase approximation for the plasma subsystem is examined. Comparisons are made to theory and experiment and a discussion of the asymmetry of the profiles is given. Keywords
