Abstract
Samples from seventy two plant taxa collected from various rural areas of Bhagalpur and Santhal Parganas districts were screened for the presence of saponin, flavonoids and alkaloids. 46 Samples were found to be positive for saponin, 56 for flavonoids and 50 for alkaloids. In two species neither of the three phytoconstituents was present.Keywords
