Abstract
The common laboratory problem encountered In the clinical analysis for serum copper and zinc using partially hemolyzed serum was investigated using several analytical techniques. The results indicate that small amounts of hemolysis can be tolerated without significantly affecting the clinical interpretation. This conclusion can be rationalized on the basis of the composition of the red blood cell. Keywords
