Abstract
It was concluded that hypoxia increases the vascular resistance to the flow of blood in the lungs. However, the major pathologic defect is due to organic changes which result from pulmonary emphysema, and the greatest increase in pulmonary arterial pressure is because of the latter reason. Keywords
