La structure du nord-ouest de l'Argentine avec quelques reflexions sur la structure des Andes

Abstract

With the exception of a brief period of folding in the upper Tertiary, no tangential orogenic movements have taken place in the Andes of northwest Argentina since the beginning of the Carboniferous. Formation of the ranges of the Andes was due to vertical crustal movements, particularly Plio-Pleistocene epeirogenic uplift.
