Intracellular Distribution of Digitoxin.

Abstract

Summary The hearts and livers of animals given intravenous digi toxin were homogenized and separated by centrifugation into nuclear, mitochondrial and homogeneous supernatant fractions. More than 85% of the digi toxin was found in the supernatant fractions of both heart and liver, while the mitochondria of the organs contained 3 and 0.1%.
