Abstract
The Chelsea Village program based at St. Vincent's Hospital currently serves over 200 home-bound individuals in the lower West Side of Manhattan. It was developed as a pilot project in response to the critical need of some elderly to receive medical outreach services. Issues, experiences, and analysis concerning the initiation, operation, and impact of this program are explored.
