Deep Venous Thrombosis and Thalidomide Therapy for Multiple Myeloma

Abstract

Thalidomide is effective for the treatment of refractory myeloma.¹ Its role in the initial treatment of the disease is under active investigation.^2,3 We report the occurrence of deep venous thrombosis with the use of thalidomide in combination with other active agents in patients with newly diagnosed myeloma.
