Quark theory of charmed-D-meson two-body nonleptonic weak decays

Abstract

Quark spectator and tadpole graphs as predicted by the Cabibbo—Glashow-Iliopoulos-Maiani weak current and Hamiltonian density combine to give a complete description of charmed $D^0\to K^{-}{\pi }^{+}$, ${\overline{K}}^0{\pi }^0$, and $D^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^0{\pi }^{+}$ Cabibbo-angle-enhanced decays and $D^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^0{K}^{+}$, ${\pi }^0{\pi }^{+}$, and $D^0\to K^{-}{K}^{+}$, ${\pi }^{-}{\pi }^{+}$ Cabibbo-angle-suppressed decays.
