Abstract
A brief review is pre-sented of the subject and the more recent work published upon it. The following aspects of the subject are included: activity during hibernation, physiological changes in mammals during hibernation, onset of hibernation of mammals, arousal of mammals from hibernation and hibernation in birds.Keywords
