Abstract
Excretion of trypsin inhibitor in urine (TI) in normal persons increases during administration of ACTH, cortisone and hydrocortisone acetate. In normal persons, the hourly excretion of TI during the day follows nearly that of the 17-ketogenic steroids and 17-ketosteroids. Apparently the pituitary-adrenal system is involved in the regulation of the excretion of TI. An increase in TI excretion probably represents a stress reaction.
