Abstract
The atomic form factor and the incoherent-scattering function of the helium atom have been calculated from several wave functions of differing accuracies. The form factor calculated from the Hartree-Fock wave function is in very close agreement with that from the 20-term Hylleraas wave function for all values of the momentum transfer. For small momentum transfers (Keywords
