Abstract
0.003-0.006 gm. equivalent per kgm. of Ca gluconate, laevulate, and lactate, MgSO4 and Mg lactate, disodium phosphate, and NaCl and Na2SO4 were injected subcut. The injection of Ca causes a fall in the serum-Mg but has no appreciable effect on the inorganic P. The injection of Mg causes a fall in the serum-Ca and also in the inorganic P. Injection of phosphate depresses the serum-Ca, but has no effect on the Mg. Injection of sulphate lowers the serum-Ca and inorganic P, leaving the Mg unchanged. Small hemorrhages temporarily depress the serum-Ca.
