Abstract
In the hydrolysis of glyeyl-dehydrophenylalanine, (Ibid. 205 (1/2) : 65-75. 1932) glycinamide does not appear as an intermediate product. The hydrolysis product, phenyl-pyroracemic acid, was isolated. Pyruvoyl-glycine and pyruvoyl-dl-alanine were not split by any known enzyme; pyruvoyl-dl-phenylalanine was split by carboxypoly-peptidase.
