Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Paramagnetic FeF2

Abstract
A nuclear magnetic resonance study of the F19 resonance in paramagnetic FeF2 is reported. The hyperfine interactions with the magnetic electrons are measured and shown to be important in determining the resonance properties. The isotropic hyperfine interaction indicates the presence of (0.46±0.03)% unpaired 2s spins in F orbitals from each Fe++ ion neighbor.
