Four patients with calcium deposition in the skin of the scalp following routine electroencephalography are reported. The electroencephalogram paste containing calcium chloride, bentonite, and glycerin was used in all instances. Calcium chloride is a primary skin irritant and is felt to be the source of the calcium in these instances of deposition.
