Abstract
A new stationary phase for ion chromatography is evaluated. The physical and chemical properties of this macroporous poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) strong base anion exchanger are described along with its fundamental chromatographic properties: plate heights, dynamic range of sample concentration, and ion exchange selectivities. The unique properties of the phase are featured with separations of some simple inorganic anions, the basic anions: cyanide, sulfide, borate, silicate, some weak carboxylic acids, and some neutral analgesics.
