Description and Performance of an 8 cm i.d. Column For Preparative Scale High Pressure Liquid-Solid Chromatography

Abstract

This report describes the operating procedures and performances of an 8 cm i.d. column for preparative scale liquid chromatography. The high efficiency and capacity of this column are attributed to the existence of a constant packing pressure applied to the adsorbent material throughout the chromatographic analysis. Examples of preparative scale separations in liquid-solid chromatography are presented to illustrate the performances of this large bore column.
