Five-Year Survival Rates and Time Trends of Laryngeal Cancer in the US Population

Abstract
Several recent studies have suggested that the incidence of laryngeal cancer and other smoking-related cancers is declining in North America1-3 and Western Europe.4,5 One factor in this decline may be decreased exposure to carcinogens, specifically tobacco. It has been hypothesized that this declining incidence may reflect achievement in antismoking efforts.
