Abstract
Thiamine contents in pea seedlings and some fully grown leaves increased in vivo by administering both the pyrimidine derivative and the thiazole or the pyrimidine derivative only. The enzyme system for the synthesis of thiamine, condensing both the pyrimidine and thiazole moieties in the presence of ATP and Mg2+, was not found in the homogenates of various plant leaves. Keywords
