Abstract
Radical retropubic prostatectomy [for prostate cancer] in 59 patients are described. Blood loss was less than the loss in most series, with 48% of the patients receiving no units of blood and, overall, 64.5% receiving 0 or 1 unit. None of the patients had total urinary incontinence or required a collecting device. Of the 59 patients, 5 (9%) were potent. A discussion of the method, complications and 5- and 10-yr results were presented. The statistics compare favorably to those of other series. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
