Abstract
A description is given of the design and operation of a new infrared spectroscopy sampling technique that permits real-time, Simultaneous MAss and Temperature CHange (SMATCH)/FT-IR measurements to be made on samples heated at high rates (up to 320°C/s) to about 600°C. The technique is illustrated with 13.4%N nitrocellulose. Keywords
