Abstract
This paper provides a brief overview of the national agenda and a trust's framework for introducing clinical governance. The Gloucestershire Royal occupational therapy clinical governance programme, which encompasses personnel, clinical and environmental factors, is outlined. The topics of supervision, workload management and disability access are discussed in more detail, considering the impact on patient care, staff support and service provision. The efficacy of the agenda and the need for further work are also considered. Keywords
