Changes in blood-urea concentration after operation and their relation to the early diagnosis of acute renal failure

Abstract

The blood-urea concentration was measured before and at 24, 48, and 72 hours after operation in 123 patients undergoing a range of major surgical procedures; the 24-hour urine volume and urine-urea concentration were also measured.
