Prevention of Experimental Allergic Encephalomyelitis in Guinea Pigs

Abstract
Exptl. data seemed to support the contention that normal brain tissue may exert a protective influence against allergic encephalomyelitis but that the protection thus exerted may short-circuit the anti-brain antibodies elaborated in response to the original disease producing emulsion. It will be the object of further investigation to extend the application of the principal of "deflection" with injns. of emulsions of brain substance acting as substitute brain to the problem of the prevention of neurotropic virus infections.
