Abstract
The secretion of urine is discussed from 2 main points of view, the theories of secretion, and the regulation of secretion. Under the former is reviewed the evidence for the function of the glomerulus and tubule, under the latter is discussed the work of many who have been concerned more with the nature of the changes in the organism causing certain responses on the part of the kidney than with the analysis of the function of the different parts of the organ. An extensive bibliography is appended. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
