Rapid and Sterilizing Effect of Penicillin Sodium in Experimental Relapsing Fever Infections and Its Ineffectiveness in the Treatment of Trypanosomiasis ( Trypanosoma lewisi ) and Toxoplasmosis

Abstract
Na penicillin, injd. in large doses into Wistar rats apparently free from Haemobartonella muris, failed to inactivate Trypanosoma lewisi and Toxoplasma, but was spectacularly effective in treatment of relapsing fever (S. novyi strain) in Swiss mice.
