Abstract
Releases of sterile adult Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders) at a supposedly isolated planting of cotton did not suppress native populations. Immigration of moths from the Imperial Valley, 30 miles away, may explain the failure. Such immigration should be considered by investigators who are currently planning a large-scale effort to suppress the pink bollworm. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
