Abstract
Trusts continue to look abroad for solutions to the UK’s nursing recruitment crisis. Alison Moore reports from Tunbridge Wells, where a number of Filipino nurses have recently joined the NHS IF ‘DISGUSTED’ of Tunbridge Wells was ever short of something to write to his local paper about, he could always turn to his home town’s nursing shortage. High house prices, combined with the general national and regional shortages, mean the Kent and Sussex Weald Trust, which is based in the town, has faced a shortfall of anything up to 100 out of 650 nursing staff over the past few years.
