Trusts continue to look abroad for solutions to the UK’s nursing recruitment crisis. High house prices, combined with the general national and regional shortages, mean the Kent and Sussex Weald Trust, which is based in the town, has faced a shortfall of anything up to 100 out of 650 nursing staff over the past few years.
