Abstract
Two basic examples of the externally controllable interferometry in the time domain in the X-ray region, which was carried out by the combination of nuclear resonant scattering with an X-ray interferometer, are shown. Time distributions of the scattered photons were measured with (i) two scatterers with different hyperfine structures inserted in respective beam paths, and (ii) two scatterers of the same kind in each beam path, one of which is translated to produce the Doppler shift. Modification of the time beat was observed, which is expected from standard theory assuming that the field amplitudes are superposed in the time domain. Keywords
