Abstract
A series of α-substituted styrene analogs have been reacted with sodium perborate in acetic acid to produce l-acetoxy-2-aryl-2-propanol analogs in good yield. The reaction constitutes a mild and convenient method for the oxidation of styrene type double bonds. Keywords
