Tetrachloroantimon-trimethylsilylcarbodiimid-Schwingungsspektrum und Kristallstruktur / Tetrachloroantimony Trimethylsilylcarbodiimide Vibrational Spectra and Crystal Structure

Abstract

Tetrachloroantimony trimethylsilylcarbodiimide, Cl₄SbNCNSiMe₃, has been synthesized by the reaction of SbCl₅ with Me₃SiNCNSiMe₃ in a 1:1 molar ratio. The pale yellow compound is dimeric in solution and in the solid state and has according to the vibrational spectra a centrosymmetric structure of C_2h symmetry. The X-ray structure determination shows the monoclinic space group P2₁/c with two dimeric units per cell. The structure was refined to an R-value of 0,04.
