Abstract
Explanation of the mechanism of mitral valve closure [in animals and man] is difficult because of conflicting data. Normal mitral valve closure probably results from a combination of atriogenic and ventriculogenic events. The relations and importance of each factor are not known. The complexity of these interactions requires further study. This publication has 36 references indexed in Scilit:
