New peptide antibiotic, hypelcin a, from hypocrea peltata

Abstract

Two new antibiotics, hypelcins A and B were isolated from the fruit bodies of Hypocrea peltata and the structure of hypelcin A was established as (1) by chemical degradation and mass spectrometry.
