Abstract
The type of electrode, the siting of electrodes and the method of recording as now practiced in the Nuffield Dept. of Surgery are described. The method is designed to allow for a large variety of differences in head shapes and sizes in patients of different ages. The technic has proved useful in the study of localized lesions such as tumors and abcesses as well as in the search for epileptogenic foci and paroxysmal dysrhythmias.
