On the application of a modification of the Smoluchkowski equation to rotational Brownian motion

Abstract
It is shown how a modification of the Smoluchkowski equation originally proposed by Sack (1956) may be used to obtain simple expressions for the orientational autocorrelation functions of a rigid body undergoing rotational Brownian motion provided that inertial effects are small.Keywords
