Abstract
A novel technique is described for solving 2-D waveguide equations using the finite element method. The full-wave equation is solved, thus automatically taking care of various inhomogeneities in the medium. The solution yields the transverse components of the field, which are useful for calculating far-field radiation patterns. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
