Abstract
The follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) preparation obtained previously from a dlalyzed salt extract of sheep pituitary glands by use of anion exchange resin was purified by use of columns of cation exchange resin adjusted to pH 6 and pH 5. Results obtained on assay of the preparation from the pH 6 resin in hypophysectomized male and female rats indicate that this FSH preparation is of high biological purity in that it contains very little luteinizing hormone activity. Keywords
