The Effect of Penicillin, Aureomycin, Streptomycin and Vitamin B12 on the Liver Reserves of Vitamin A Esters of the Rat

Abstract

Supplementation of groundnut protein in paired-feeding tests with penicillin at 0.02%, aureomycin at 0.03%, streptomycin at 0.02% level of the diet and vitamin B₁₂ at 45 μg/kg of diet significantly reduced the liver reserves of vitamin A esters in the rat when preformed vitamin A was included in the diet.
