Abstract
THE diuretic-antihypertensive effect of the thiazide diuretics is well known.1 However, some investigators2 have stated that the antihypertensive effect of these compounds is greater than might be expected from their natriuretic action — that is, they possess antihypertensive properties in addition to being effective diuretics.
