The influence of indium and gallium on the lattice spacings of the ?? and ? phases of the silver-zinc alloys

Abstract
Accurate measurements have been made of the lattice spacings of the β′ and ζ phases of AgZnIn alloys, and of the ζ phase of AgZnGa and AgGa alloys. In the AgZnIn alloys, which contained up to 3·65 at. % indium, the axial ratio of the ζ phase is always close to that of the binary alloy of the same electron concentration. In the AgZnGa alloys, which contained much larger ternary additions of up to 30 at. % gallium, the axial ratio of the ζ phase depends upon the composition rather than the electron concentration.
